Promoting the activities and accomplishments of the ocean drilling programme is a major and constant goal for ECORD. By means of an integrated approach within ECORD and with our IODP partners, the ECORD Outreach and Education Task Force co-ordinates activities and develops various materials and resources to share and disseminate information to a wide range of audiences, scientists, educators and general public.
Inside ECORD, responsibilities for outreach and education activities are distributed between EMA, ESO and ESSAC. The team meets twice a year to craft and co-ordinate programme's outreach activities.
