Exp 347 – Mobilisation

Mission-specific platforms are especially chosen to fullfil particular scientific objectives. In many cases this requires modifications to get the most appropriate platform.
The chosen vessel is the Greatship Manisha and was mobilised in Falmouth, UK on early September 2013.

ESO containers onboard the Greatship Manisha are located in the back deck of the drillship. ESO containers are equipped for core curation and laboratory facilities (e.g. petrophysics, geochemistry, microbiology, (A. Kotilainen @ECORD/IODP).
